Dean praying to Castiel was a nice moment, I guess. I get that he's worried about Sam and would do just about anything to keep him safe, but the one thing that has been bothering me is that both Sam and Dean apparently forgot that they were suspicious of Castiel after their last encounter. I understand why they would still try to contact Cas anyway, but nothing has changed since they last saw him, so wouldn't they have angel-proofed the batcave, just like they did with the cabin?
Still, I liked that they seem to be taking a different route with the Sam-is-keeping-shit-from-Dean storyline. I was expecting Dean to eventually find out in the worst possible way and then they would be at each other's throats again, but this time Dean already knows there's something wrong, even if he doesn't know what it is. It makes sense given how protective Dean has been lately, and it's not like Sam is being very good at hiding what's going on.
Anyway, I'm tentatively hopeful that the next episode will be better than this one, although after reading the official synopsis, I won't be surprised if I end up hating it. We had a handful of great episodes in a row and I thought things were looking up, but these last two episodes have been so underwhelming that now I'm not as excited about the rest of the season as I was. :(
